"Age of Consent" (also New Order song)--This is based off of the Jean-Luc Godard film Made in USA.
After seeing this film at the MFA and painting this I started a series of drawings of women in both compromising but
also somewhat dominating situations. I'll put those ones up in a few weeks

This one doesn't have a title really but its in relation to an old family photo I found.

The little girl is my sister and the guy with the gun is Humphrey Bogart.
This is officially my first blog post! I'm mostly doing this to update my friends and family about the new work I'm making, but I'll probably just throw in a few youtube videos I find hilarious once in awhile. Critiques are welcome! Good or bad! Here's some newer paintings that have been completed in the last few months. Lately I've been collaging imagery from family photos, film stills, and found pictures that interest me to create compositions that create a sort of unsettling and ambiguous narrative.
